To live is to change, and to be perfect is to have changed often.

St. John Henry Newman, pray for us!

Cardinal Nichols Archbishop of Westminster believes Newman could be 'a patron saint for everyone' because he calls us to holiness. He is a disciple of Christ and the very heart of his life is something in which we’re all engaged.

He lived his life (1801-1890) constantly exploring, living the seen life in the presence of the unseen, understanding the emotional turmoil you might go through, or the intellectual questioning, or the variety of experiences, but always in the light of the presence of God. Those two irreducible truths are “the pillars of his spiritual journey.”

May He support us all the day long, till the

shadows lengthen and the evening comes

and the busy world is hushed and the fever of life

is over and our work is done

-       then in His mercy -

May he give us safe lodging and

A holy rest and peace at the last!
